product_item_id in lowercase

Hello,

To be short and precise i make call to the Google Ads Api to get informations. I get all information i needed but the case-sensitive of the segment.product_item_id  information is not respected.

For exemple:
- On the Google ads portal => Shopify_ES_94946554_54456
- Response on Google ads api call :

"segments"
: {
"productItemId"
:
"shopify_es_94946554_54456"
,
"productTitle"
:
"Coat",
}
}

As you can see, the returned item id is in lowercase. How can i fix this ? Thank you

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you are making a call to Google Ads API but you are not getting the case-sensitive information of the segment.product_item_id. In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end and uncropped UI screenshot of the report that displays segment.product_item_id.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag. 

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.

Was there a solution provided to this? I am also facing a similar issue where I get the productItemId in lowercase even when it has uppercase characters in the merchant center.

I understand that you are facing a similar issue with segment.product_item_id. To analyse the issue from our end we need sufficient details, without that we cannot move further. Hence, could you please provide us with an uncropped UI screenshot of the Google Ads account by highlighting the specific product item ID. Also, share the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end.
