Hello,

We have just started using the New Google Ads API,  and we are trying to fetch the clients information that are managed through MCC account, we are able to get the MCC customer  information but cannot fetch the clients information that are linked under MCC like "customers/{CUSTOMER_ID}/customerClients{/CLIENT_CUSTOMER_ID}"

We also tested using this service customer_client but this doesn't provide the customer client information like name, id, descriptive name etc.

Can anyone tell me how to get the client information linked under MCC using new API?

Thanks,
Ronak

Hello Ronak,

With the customerClient you should be able to get the resource names of each customer under the MCC account. But the other costumer fields should be fetched using the customer resource. So first you have to pull the resource names of all the customer using a search query, then for each customer you make separate call to get the customer details. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you sir.

Can we pass multiple customers to get their corresponding MCC accounts? Can you also clarify which customer fields have industry type ?? Do you happen to have an example for this API call please

Thx

Hello Sai Teja,

Thank you for the response! yes so when querying customerClient we do get the customer resource name for the linked account and then we need again query costumer service to get the corresponding client details and it did worked but there is one big problem so right now we have MCC accounts with more than 100 clients linked under MCC, so that means we need to make 100 api calls to get details for linked accounts, which is really time consuming, we are getting error like  "Operation timed out" which is again a bad user experience the previous version of Adwords API was able to respond complete account hierarchy details on just one api call, but now its just too time consuming.I was looking for a solution to get the complete hierarchy details in just one api call but looks like that's not possible with the new version of API. I am still not sure what happened to this, the Adwords API was one of the fastest API and API call response was also too quick but now new one is damn slower :(

Ronak

Hello Ronak,

Thanks for the feedback, I understand your concern. For now it is the only way to pull the details of customers under an MCC account. Our team is aware of this concern and trying to include more fields in the customerClient resource. I will update you once I have more information. meanwhile you could keep an eye on the release notes for more information.
