Generate text ads with Flag "mobile" via the AdWords API

Hi all,

I am using the adwords api to generate campaigns, adgroups, keywords and ads and it works fine.
But now I will generate Ads which are optimized for mobile devices.

In the website in www.adwords.google.com I can click on a checkbox to mark the ad as "optimize for mobile devices".
Then the Preview of the Ad changes from normal text ad to an ad shown in a mobile phone.
So I will set this Flag via the API to generate Ads which are optimized for mobile devices.


Has anybody a solution for this? I use the PHP Library in Version v201402 and the is no example for this problem.

I think I am searching for the option "device Preference"?!
But I don't know if this is the right way and I don't know where I can set this

I am sorry for my third post, but I think I found a solution for my problem.
While creating my ad I set the attribute $textad->devicePreference = 30001;
Then in the browser in www.adwords.google.com there is an ad with the flag "optimized for mobile".

I think it is ok, isn't it? Why the value of 30001? Are there other values possible?

I believe that this field uses the criteria IDs for platforms, which shows mobile as having an ID of 30001. I'm glad you were able to figure out the issue!

Hello,

I have almost the same issue: I would like to download ad from service, modify url and put it back to system. I am doing it by ADD/REMOVE techniques and everything is fine but the 'Mobile'

flag - it disappears after operation because AdGroupAdService service gives me empty "devicePreference" field.

Could you please suggest me some workaround for this issue ?

Can you respond to me privately with an example SOAP request response where you're trying to fetch the devicePreference but it's coming back blank?
