Matching function in dynamic display ad

Hello

I am trying to create a dynamic display remarketing campaign using a dynamic display ad feed (custom). For the ad, I am using TemplateAd using an HTML zip which contains my template file. I need to target a subset of feed items from the feed for the campaign and I am trying to use a matching function while associating the feed with my campaign. I was able to call the Adwords APIs successfully using CampaignFeedService to associate the feed with my campaign along with a matching function which selects a subset of feed items from the feed (reference - https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/feed-matching-functions#selection_by_feed_item_id). However, in the ad preview, the effect of this matching function is not reflected and instead, all of the feed items from the feed is being shown.

Question - Is this matching function supposed to work as I expect ? If so, how can I verify the same ?

Thank you for reaching out. Can you please share your client customer ID and campaign ID via Reply privately to author so I can further investigate the issue? Also, if possible, please share the complete detailed request and response logs for the call you are using to set the matching function. You can find information on enabling logging in the ReadMe of your client library.
