Request for Access to Auction Insights Data via API or Query

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any plans to make the Auction Insights data accessible through an API or query. Currently, this information, including key metrics such as Impression Share, Overlap Rate, Position Above Rate, Top of Page Rate, and Outranking Share, is only available on the platform. Having access to these columns via API or query would be extremely useful for automating processes and improving reporting efficiency.

Could you please provide any updates on when or if this data might be available through an API or query?

Kindly note that the 'auction insight' metrics are not publicly available to retrieve via the Google Ads API. However, I will raise a request for this feature to be available in the Google Ads API. I cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the API. I would recommend you to kindly follow our Release Notes and Blog post for future updates.

Kindly note that this feature is available only for the allowlisted accounts. According to the Google Ads API documentation, the following auction insight metrics are not publicly available.

• auction_insight_search_absolute_top_impression_percentage
• auction_insight_search_impression_share
• auction_insight_search_outranking_share
• auction_insight_search_overlap_rate
• auction_insight_search_position_above_rate
• auction_insight_search_top_impression_percentage

To allowlist the auction insights metrics, you will need to reach out to your Google representative or account manager as they will be the one to allowlist this feature on your behalf.

If you have yet to identify a Google representative, then the Google Ads Product support team can help identify one for you. As soon as they have been identified for you, the Google representative can send us a separate email so our team can help provide information to them.
