At Condati, we use auction insights data to populate Quant Marketer- (our supplementary cross-platform optimization solution for paid media professionals). We can quickly and efficiently display available auction insights information segmented by campaign; enabling our (and your) customers to speed up time to act and make informed decisions based on competitive behavior. The current process is rather manual and requires us to create daily scheduled reports from GoogleAds UI into google drive, which we then must ETL from drive into our systems.
In addition to this less-than-ideal extraction method, there are often outages of the auction insights data leading to multiple, manual, retries on the scheduled reports in the UI to see if the data is available yet or if we must still wait longer. To mitigate this, we recently began scheduling multiple copies of the same reports at different times of the morning to try at least partially automate the process. As you can imagine, this creates an excessive number of reports that regular UI users must then filter through. All of this requires hours of manual attention each week to something we hoped would be available via your already established and reliable API. Given the importance for our (and your) customers to have updated auction insights data, we would like to request access to these metrics via the API now that they have been added to V11.
