Ad Group Status Change To Removed

Hi Team.

I'm getting the following error while changing the status of an adgroup to 'REMOVED' using API.

Error : Enum value 'REMOVED' cannot be used.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team. 

I understand that you are encountering the “Enum value 'REMOVED' cannot be used” error while attempting to set the status of an ad group as REMOVED. Please note that this operation is not allowed. An ad group has the status as REMOVED only if it is removed from the account. In order to remove an ad group, you can perform a remove operation on it. After an ad group is removed and you try to fetch the ad groups for a particular account/ campaign using the Google Ads API, the removed ad group will be displayed with status as REMOVED in the response.
