I am trying to find the part of the (new) Google API that will allow me to search for "Avg. Monthly Searches", Local Search Volume, Global Search Volume, CPC, etc... I am not sure which to use because this page says I should start using the newer API: https://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-java/  (I'm coding in Java)

Is it necessary for me to acquire a developer token?
What class/methods do I need?

Any help is appreciated :)

Thanks!

Hi,

The link you have below is for our old Java client library.  I would recommend using the new library here:

https://code.google.com/p/google-api-ads-java/

You will need a developer token to make API calls.  Please follow the instructions for applying for API access to initiate the token application process.  Note that while you are waiting for your developer token to be approved you can use a test account to try out the API against test AdWords accounts.

Regarding your question on retrieving statistics for your campaigns and ads, the various performance reports listed under the AdWords API Report Types documentation should cover what you need, but please let me know if you have further questions.
