Hello,

We are using the API's developer token to make requests.
It is to my understanding that sub-accounts on a main account can effectively share a developer token once access is granted to one.
Through testing, we can see that this is the case for our other clients (we use one developer token to access various sub-accounts' data).
Unfortunately, one of our accounts is having trouble when making the API call for google adwords, using the same developer token.
We are getting the message "QuotaCheckError.DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED".

Let me know if I can provide any more information.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The QuotaCheckError.DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error you are encountering indicates that you are using a developerToken that has not yet been granted with basic access, against a production client/MCC account. This being said, in order to make successful requests to production accounts, you will first need to apply for basic access and you can do so by filling up and submitting this application form.

The AdWords Compliance Team should contact you within 2 business days for its status. I hope this helps and feel free to write back if you have any additional concerns. As for your other accounts that were successful, they were possibly test accounts, and that is why you did not encounter the error when making calls using them as your clientCustomerId.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
