Hi all,

I'm trying to make Customer Match using Google Ads API. When i use Mobile IDS, it takes more than 12 hours in 'populating' status. And also after finished populating, it take too much time to see the match numbers for Search, Youtube and Display. (Mobile IDS count in my list: 1 Million)

Another problem is, if I request a new operation before the number of matching ids appears on Google Ads UI, I only see the correct match in the Display that i attached to mail.

Could this be related to the frequency of the jobs on your side?

Which hours and how often do remove and create operations work for you?

My last question is, if i see the different match numbers for Display and Youtube or Search, is this a problem or is the list actually updating even if I don't see the correct numbers for Search and Youtube?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Elif,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team. In order for lists to populate, if you are using customer match then a list may appear to be smaller than expected when viewed in the Audience Manager in the Google Ads UI. This view shows the number of active users in the list. A user is considered active if they have recently logged into their Google account. For more information on active users, see this discussion on how to troubleshoot low traffic with Customer Match lists. >>Could this be related to the frequency of the jobs on your side?

Usually it takes 6 to 12 hours for a list to be populated with members, so you'll most likely see an "In Progress" status (on the Google Ads UI) if you upload to an audience list more frequently than once every 12 hours. Please find more details here. >>Which hours and how often do remove and create operations work for you?

If you encounter errors we can check for correct API communication. We would then need  a request and response log of API communication that returns the error.  The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the log level to 'DEBUG' will get the desired log. For REST using curl, adding the '-i' parameter to curl would generate the log. Feel free to write back with the details and our team would be happy to assist you.
