Adwords API to detect if a site is running Ads

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a sales support tool. I'm using a vendor in which uses SEMrush and SpyFu to detect if a website is running Adwords or not. The detection works great for US and UK sites at 90% success rate. 

However, i need to test Canadian sites (French Canadian sites more specifically) and I've experienced a 30% success rate.  I'm looking for alternative solutions.

I was wondering if with the Adwords API, we could determine if a website is currently running Ads? If not, any other alternative solutions?

Hi John,

The AdWords API could be used to create Ad and get the statistics for the Ad (status e.g. enabled, paused etc.). These Ad could be part of Google Search Network, Display network and Youtube, but API could not be used to find out any particular website is currently running the Ad.
