Thanks to everyone in advance -

I am noticing pretty consistently a fair amount of inbound gclids that I am unable to match back via the CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT. These gclid are from the last 90 days, so its definitely not a date range issue. To test this out I queried a handful of these gclids for the last 60 days -

Can anyone provide any guidance on what might be happening here?

Thanks again

Sam

Sam,

Please send me a few detailed examples in private to look into.  E.g., request/response XML logs, the GCLID and the associated CID, etc.

Thanks,

Ray

Sam,

I've received the information - which GCL ID are you referring to as gclid-A ?

Thanks!

Hi guys,

In some of the reports, there are 2 columns to check: InvalidClicks and InvalidClickRate.
Some of these missing clicks may be marked as invalid - please see if the numbers matches up closely w/ the clicks that you were not able to find in the click performance report.

Thanks!

Sam,

It's very likely that these missing GCLIDs are in fact included in the invalid clicks.  My understanding is that converted GCLIDs may not necessarily mean that the clicks were counted as valid clicks in the system.  For more information about invalid clicks, please see if these links are helpful:

Ray,

I got your point but if we exclude the  missing converted GCLIDs then the number of leads generated in our system does not math the total converted clicks shown by Google Adwords in UI and API.Our count of leads is less then what Google show. One other thing that i noticed that if we upload an offline conversion for the missing GCLID, Google associate it with some click and the number of converted clicks increase this means that the click was not invalid.

I have run the ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for the same date and it shows only 36 Invalid clicks and the report if have send to you we have 210 missing GCLIDs .Plus we have 1938 clicks in the Click Performance Report  and 1871 clicks in the ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for the same date and account.I think there are some data issues in the Click Performance Report. We have other issue posted here and not fixed yet.

Can you clarify why this is happening?

Thanks

Hazar,

For the "missing" GCLIDs, I was presuming that you already uploaded the clicks through Offline Conversion.

Could I trouble you to confirm that for the 210 missing GCLIDs, have you successfully uploaded the conversions previously?

Thanks,

Ray

Hazar,

Reports may not be updated immediately and values may change overtime.  It takes about 3-hours for uploaded conversions to show up.  Please also check out the general data freshness documentation as data may be updated at certain times of day.  I'll take a look at the specific GCLID that you sent.

Thanks!

Ray
