Dear Google Ads API Support Team,

I am currently experiencing persistent issues when calling several endpoints of the Google Ads API. Specifically, multiple requests to the `uploadConversionAction` endpoint are returning the following error:

{
"code": 503,
"message": "The service is currently unavailable.",
"status": "UNAVAILABLE"
}

To isolate the issue, I also tested a simple GET request to the following endpoint:

`https://googleads.googleapis.com/v20/customers/xxxxxxxxxx/getIdentityVerification`

Unfortunately, this also returns the same 503 UNAVAILABLE error.

I would like to inquire:

1. Is this a known outage or service degradation on the Google Ads API?
2. If so, is there an estimated time for resolution?
3. If this is part of a scheduled maintenance, where can I find official notices or updates about such service disruptions so I can prepare accordingly in the future?

The consistent unavailability has impacted our production workflows, and I would appreciate any insights or official confirmation regarding the cause and timeframe for resolution.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please find the answers for your questions below:

1. Is this a known outage or service degradation on the Google Ads API?
  • There was an issue that caused 503 status code errors during the time interval from 2025-07-02 16:30 to 2025-07-03 03:30 (all times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)).
2. If so, is there an estimated time for resolution?
  • Note that this issue has already been resolved and no longer will encounter this error. For ConversionUploadService and ConversionAdjustmentUploadService requests, we don’t recommend retrying the requests as this can have a direct impact on bidding performance. We recommend using target and budget adjustments to achieve your desired performance. In addition, we don’t recommend the use of data exclusions or seasonality adjustments either. For other services, you may retry your requests now and let us know if you still encounter any issues.
3. If this is part of a scheduled maintenance, where can I find official notices or updates about such service disruptions so I can prepare accordingly in the future?
  • No, this was not part of any scheduled maintenance. If you experience any issues in the future, I would recommend you to check the Google Ads status dashboard, as it provides clear information about any ongoing service outages.

Regards,
Google Ads API Team.
