Keywords named "Content" are being returned in responses from the Keywords performance report. I found an old thread about this, in which was explained that these are statistics from clicks generated on the Google Content Network. They are apparently not associated with any of the keywords because the ads weren't shown as a direct result of the search.

It's a Keywords performance report but "Content" is not actually a keyword...
So, my question: why is this returned if it isn't a keyword?

Thanks,

Tiana

Hello,

This data is returned because it may be useful in some contexts, even if it's not for yours. Perhaps someone wants to compare keyword performance vs. "Content" performance, which is possible in a single report because of this, or specifically wants to see the "Content" data.

In any case, you can set a filter on your report to remove this data if it is not relevant for you.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your explanation! I just find it odd this is default behavior. It isn't a keyword so I wouldn't expect it to show up in the Keyword performance report unless I specifically request it with an "includeContent" predicate or something. ;)

I understand though, again thank you!

Best regards,

Tiana
