Change_status way off from Google Ads UI change history data

Hello,

I have spent quite some time looking into the change_event and change_status APIs to get a good insight into accounts' activities. I analyzed about 15-20 accounts and I see a large discrepancy between the 2 reports and the Google Ads UI.

My understanding is that change_event indeed doesn't contain all the changes and I can confirm that. But according to the documentation, the change_status report should be on par with the Google Ads UI while I see many more changes in the change_status report than in the Google Ads UI.

Here is an example of a small account:

Change_status (request ID: tvdTjeRTdh52Fbme0IJFLw) - 17 changes

Google Ads UI (see attached screenshot) - 0 or 1 change (not sure how to read the UI tbh.)

 

Is it possible to clarify this, please? What is the 17 actually changes when the UI says 0? Are those manual changes or some automated internal changes that don't count into the change history?

Also, I noticed that in SA360 accounts all the SA360 changes are made under change_event.client_type = Other instead of SEARCH_ADS_360_POST or SEARCH_ADS_360_SYNC. Is this going to be fixed?

For the SA360 issue, could you also provide steps on how our team may replicate such as provide to our team the accounts involved for this scenario?

1. The Request ID (tvdTjeRTdh52Fbme0IJFLw) is in the original post for the first problem.

2. For the SA360, we often see this (request ID:  1Bv7ptJq3T8AD_SYVE-pug)

3. Also I we can see these type of rows with userEmail:  S************* (Request ID: 56cgaqeomRF24J4ruFyZQg) - what are those?

Thank you very much for the additional details and for indicating the request-ids. However, could you share the actual and generated request and response logs as well?

In addition, our team does not appear to be familiar with the reporting platform you are using. Is this a view from the Google Ads UI? I asked because you earlier mentioned observing some of the issues in the Change History view.

Could you share as well the Change History view screenshots for the SA360 records, if they are displayed in the Change History similar to the OTHER records in the API or if there is a more specific tool name (client type) displayed? 

Furthermore, you also added an issue with user emails being returned. That said, please provide the actual logs generated on your end so our team can also try and replicate these issues first, before possibly raising this to the rest of our team with all the relevant details.
