What effect will trackingUrlTemplate have on a standard campaign?

Hi,

In the AdWords UI, a campaign of type "standard" does not let the user set (see) the tracking template under "Campaign URL options (advanced)". However, it can be set via the APIs and the tracking template value does show up in grid under the Campaigns tab. My question is whether the tracking template on a standard campaign will have any effect when the ad is served? I'm hoping the answer is yes, as this campaign type otherwise will require third party tracking tags to be added elsewhere.

Hi Hans,

The tracking template on a campaign should be used, regardless of whether the campaign is set to Standard or All features. The Standard versus All features option is a UI-only concept, and is simply used to control which options are visible in the UI for a given campaign.
