Excluding Negative Keywords from Keyword View

Hi,

I was getting data from the Keyword View resource for some time.

I only recently realized that I am also getting data for the negative keywords.

Is there a way to filter out the negative keywords from the results of this resource?

I tried searching the forum and the support documents for this, but couldn't find anything.

Your assistance is highly appreciated.

Hi Mario,

Try to add to your query, this: 

WHERE ad_group_criterion.negative = 'false'

I haven't tried it, I hope it works :)

Hi Mario,

Thanks for posting your concern.

Yes, just like Christian suggested, you can add this ad_group_criterion.negative = FALSE filter in the WHERE clause so that the negative keywords will not be included in the report.

Hi Ernie,

I tried using this metric before posting my issue here but it didn't work as I had expected.

This may be due to the fact that I am using the segments.date to segment my data.

I tested this by removing the segmentation. When I did that, the ad_group_criterion.negative seems to work fine.

Do you have any idea about being able to use both the ad_group_criterion.negative and the segments.date simultaneously?

For our team to take a closer look at this behavior, could you share the complete request and response logs, with the request-id? You may send both logs generated from the below scenarios :

• with the segments.date
• without the segments.date

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
