Hi, thanks for the reply.

What you say here doesn't make much sense to me. The listing group filter  that I'm trying to remove (customers/1671040420/assetGroupListingGroupFilters/6612643185~13002981173) is a UNIT_INCLUDED node which is indeed under a SUBDIVISION listing group filter (customers/1671040420/assetGroupListingGroupFilters/6612643185~13002978683). That's exactly what I expect to be able to update from a listing group tree. Be able to REMOVE and ADD UNIT nodes under a SUBDIVISION node.
If that is not the case, how is a listing group filter supposed to be updated?
If I use the product ID as the last level of the tree, how am I supposed to update the products included in the tree if I can't remove them?
Is there a system in place for such updates?

Thanks,

Miquel Isern

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that when attempting to remove an 'asset group listing group filter,' it must not be referenced by another parent_listing_group_id. If you are deleting multiple entities, ensure the mutations are executed in the correct sequence. Upon checking, it is found that the asset group listing group filter you are trying to remove, specifically 'customers/1671040420/assetGroupListingGroupFilters/6612643185~13002981173,' is currently referenced by 'customers/1671040420/assetGroupListingGroupFilters/6612643185~13002978683.' This existing association is the reason for the error you are encountering.

Thanks & Regards,
Google Ads API Team.

Hello,

We handle many customer connections and a lot of ListingGroups work using the same system to be updated daily. Currently we see two specific ListingGroupFilters under AssetGroups that are failing to update with an UNKNOWN error_code.

For these two specific AssetGrous that can't get their LisitngGroups updated, I have tried sending the operations one at a time, all at once, in different orders and also only removing some leaf nodes from the lowest level but all request return with the same UNKNOWN error.

Could I get some assistance on checking these affected ListingGroups?

Here is a log from sending a MutateRequest to DELETE one UNIT_INCLUDED node from a SUBDIVISION that has many. Which should be a completely valid operation and leave the tree in a valid state:
