AdGroupAdApprovalStatus changes not present in CustomerChangeData - how can i get latest status

Hi all,

When i create a new ad via the API, and it goes into review say, it goes into the "UNCHECKED" state of the AdGroupAdApprovalStatus. When we sync back after the initial push we get the newly created ad in the CustomerChangeData. 

If we dont make any changes to that Ad, how do i find out when the AdApprovalStatus is changed to "APPROVED" ? It is not coming down as a change in the CustomerChangeData (presumably because that object only describes changes that I have made as a Customer)

You could use AdGroupAdService to get AdApprovalStatus.

Hi yin ,

Thanks for that but that would be a call from us to the Api wouldn't it, with ad ids, as opposed to us actually being informed when the status actually changes in something like the change data object? Via the customer sync service

We have  and create 10000s of ads so to request status for all on a regular basis is a bit of a pain , why doesn't the approval status change cause an Ad Id to get added to the change data object via the customer sync service?

Hello,

I agree that this could be a useful feature. I will speak to engineering about potentially implementing this in a future release. For now, however, I wouldn't count on having this feature for a while, as it seems to have worked this way for a while and this is not a "bug".

Hi Mike - no problem. I just wanted to know if i should expect the Approval status as a change on an Ad within the ChangeData object. I can call the other API end point.

Didnt think it was a bug, Would be great if it DID become a feature but for now wont expect it.

Would you be able to provide me the CID where you're seeing the behavior you described, along with a sample Ad and date range where you observed that this changed without being shown in the CustomerSyncService.
