Hello,

According to the documentation the local services ads detailed-lead-reports is deprecated, suggesting to use the Google Ads API to fetch Leads and Conversations associated with Local Services accounts.

The detailed-lead-reports contained several important fields including "geo" - Locations of the associated account's home city.

Question 1:
How is it possible to get this information using the suggested Google Ads API? The local_services_lead resource does not contain this information.

Question 2:
How to find the linked / associated GMB profile with the local services campaign or account? After attempting assets, and profile links resources, none of them had this information.

Question 3:
The [deprecated] local services ads detailed-lead-reports api allowed quering at the Manager account, including allthe managed sub-accounts in one request. How is it possible to query the same way with the Google Ads api? Or does this mean many separate requests have to be made now for each managed account?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please find the answers for your questions below:

  • To find the GMB profile linking to the Google Ads account, you can use this product_link_invitation resource to retrieve the information. Also, I would suggest you to refer to the "Linking product accounts" documentation for more information.
Question 3: The [deprecated] local services ads detailed-lead-reports api allowed quering at the Manager account, including allthe managed sub-accounts in one request. How is it possible to query the same way with the Google Ads api? Or does this mean many separate requests have to be made now for each managed account?
  • In the Google Ads API, it's not possible to retrieve the data at the manager account level rather you can get the data at the sub-account level. For each and every sub-account you need to make an individual API request. You can use the search or searchStream methods to make the API call while retrieving the data from the Google Ads API. Additionally, you can utilize the Google Ads Query Builder and Query Validator to build and validate the queries for retrieving the data from the Google Ads API.
