"Keyword or negative keyword text has too many words."

I got an error from the API: KEYWORD_HAS_TOO_MANY_WORDS.

I found the documentation at: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v10/KeywordPlanAdGroupKeywordErrorEnum.KeywordPlanAdGroupKeywordError

It says KEYWORD_HAS_TOO_MANY_WORDS means "Keyword or negative keyword text has too many words".

Does anyone know how many words is "too many"?

I also see KEYWORD_TEXT_TOO_LONG means "Keyword or negative keyword text exceeds the allowed limit".

Does anyone know what the allowed limit actually is? Who writes documentation like this?

Thank you for raising this concern to Google Ads API team.

Moving forward to your concern, I see that you have encountered the KEYWORD_HAS_TOO_MANY_WORD error. With this, kindly note that the text of the keywords has an allowed limit of 80 characters and 10 word.
