Content API Key in Merchant Centre Next

How do we find the Content API key in Merchant Centre Next? It used to be available under the authentication settings in the previous Merchant Centre, but now seems unavailable.

I can see that the documentation states:

To find your API key for Google Merchant Center, follow these steps:

• Go to the Google Cloud Platform Console (https://console.cloud.google.com/).
• Click on the "Credentials" menu item.
• Click on the "Create credentials" button.
• Select "API key" as the credential type.
• Click on the "Create" button.
• Copy the API key that is displayed.

However, I don't have a project set-up for Merchant Centre, but still have the API key running. Is there a way to access the API key?
