Sandbox TrafficEstimate issue

I'm writing some code to use the traffic estimator. I've created a
campaign with a couple adgroups and keywords in the sandbox. However,
when requesting traffic estimates for them in the sandbox, the
estimates come back with -1 for the keyword and adgroup id, as though
they were new keywords.

Is this a sandbox-only limitation, or does the actual Traffic
Estimator service only return -1 for ids, even for existing keywords?

Hello Josh,

If you're requesting an estimate for an existing set of ad groups or
keywords then their ids should properly be returned in the
AdGroupEstimate and KeywordEstimate response objects. I'm not sure why
you wouldn't see that in the Sandbox, but it should be the case for
production.
