Gmail Ad image URL

Hello, 

We are fetching AD PERFORMANCE REPORT for several campaign types and we noticed the 

image_ad_url

field is always null for Gmail Ads; however the ads we are trying with having an image in place. 

Is there a special field for the image URL in case of Gmail Ads?

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, it is currently not supported to retrieve the image URL of Gmail ads. The only available fields for images of Gmail ads are:

• GmailCreativeHeaderImageMediaId
• GmailCreativeLogoImageMediaId
• GmailCreativeMarketingImageMediaId

What about the Gmail Ad Logo; can we retrieve it via the API at the moment?

Hi Alex,

GmailCreativeLogoImageMediaId should return the ID of the logo image in the GmailAd. However, if what you meant is the URL of the logo image, unfortunately, it is currently not available in the Ad Performance Report.

Hi Hiroyuki,

Yes, I was referring to the URL of the logo image. 

That's okay it's not part of the Ad Performance Report yet; is there another report or specific endpoint we can use to retrieve it?

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, there is currently no report that has field related to the URL of the logo image in the GmailAd.

You may also refer to this guide to see the fields for all report types supported in AdWords API.

Can we get this Gmail Ads Media through Media ID? Can we get Media details like Image through any service?

The MediaService can be used to get details on your media such as images and videos.
