I'm reaching out to inquire about a limitation we've encountered in the Google Ads API (currently using v20) concerning Performance Max campaigns and asset-group level performance reporting.
Could you please clarify the following:
Why are raw performance metrics (e.g., clicks, CTR) unavailable for individual assets in the asset_group_asset resource via the API, even though similar insights are presented in the Google Ads UI?
Are there any plans to make this data available in future versions of the API (e.g., v21 or beyond)?
Is there a recommended alternative or best practice for programmatically accessing asset-group level performance beyond performance_label in Performance Max campaigns?
