Would the gclid parameter get missed in any case?

Hello

Is there any chance that would we have the URL without the gclid parameter in it?

As we noticed that the gclid is enabled at the customer account settings, however, sometimes we don't have it in the URL.

Is there any chance that the gclid parameter would be missed?
