Greetings!

I'm collecting information about account limits that have been reached, going through this list https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6372658?hl=en
and I'm wondering whether it is possible to get Dynamic Search Ad targets via API? If yes, then how? Which service provides such information?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Michael,

You can use the AdGroupCriterionService.GetAdGroupCriterion to fetch your WebPage criteria that were created purposely for triggering your Dynamic Search Ads. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Hello, Peter!
Thank you for your answer, but it also raises another question - is this criteria applicable ONLY for Dynamic Search Ads (I just wouldn't like to have unnecessary records in the result set)?

Hi Michael,

The WebPage criterion should not be restricted to trigger dynamic search ads only. It can be used to trigger other ad types as well. However, for dynamic search ads, the WebPage criterion is what you need to specify as discussed in this old AdWords API guide. The same should still apply for the Google Ads API.

Good day!

I apologize, but does that mean that if I collect ad group criterions solely by WebPage criterion type, it may give me not only Dynamic search ads' targets? If that's the case, then is it possible to filter out unnecessary results?

Hi Michael,

You can use the the ad_group field of the AdGroupCriterion object as filter in order to identify which WebPage criterion belongs to your ad groups that contains only Dynamic Search Ads. I hope this helps.
