How to initialize a Google Ads Client Service to only validate the API call?

I tried using this:

# Initialize appropriate service with validate only flag enabled.
client.validate_only = True

However when I execute the mutate calls they do change the information within Google Ads.

Could you clarify if the issue has been encountered in Google Ads API or AdWords API? I asked because I could not access the link that you provided.

It will be helpful also in our investigation if you can provide the complete SOAP request and response logs if the issue has been encountered in AdWords API while complete request and response logs with request ID in Google Ads API.

Hello,

For the GoogleAdsService mutate method, you can use the validate_only field for this purpose. If you are having an issue where changes are still being made despite this field being set to 'true', please send us the complete request and response logs so that we can investigate any issues.
