Total Cost of a each Campaign and Adgroup

1. How can I get the "Total Cost" data of a campaign and adgroup (tell for each case).

Some are suggesting to use "metrics.cost_micros", but if this is the case then what is the currency of the value returned by this.

2. How can I get the segment name of my campaign.

For example- the segment name of some campaigns are - "Capital Markets", "Mutual Funds", "Corporate Issuer" etc.

3. How can I pull the "Platform" field form my campaign.

Although each campaign on google ads has the "Google" platform only, but is there any query to pull this specific information.

Please provide query for each case.

Allow me to address your concerns below:

1. How can I get the "Total Cost" data of a campaign and adgroup (tell for each case). Some are suggesting to use "metrics.cost_micros", but if this is the case then what is the currency of the value returned by this.

• Please note that to obtain the total cost at campaign and ad group level you may use the campaign report and ad group report, respectively. Additionally the mectrics.cost_micros field is the correct field in obtaining this cost. The value that you'll get from metrics.cost_micros will depend on the currency set in your account. In Google Ads API perspective, you may use customer.currency_code if you want to get the currency in which your account operates.

• Ad group report - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v14/ad_group_query_builder   
• customer.currency_code - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v13/customer#customer.currency_code

• For questions 2 and 3 can you please provide us with an uncropped screenshot of the Google Ads UI that shows the data you are trying to obtain based on these descriptions, so we can provide precise guidance and recommendations? Please also note that the Google Ads UI and API mimic each other's behavior.

I understand that the screenshots you provided contain the fields you want to pull via API. However, as requested in our previous response, would you be able to share a screenshot of the Google Ads UI or dashboard showing the customer ID and data that you want to retrieve? Asking this since the API mirrors the UI and so we could provide more appropriate guidance on the corresponding report or query for pulling the data.
