Regarding the tracking template in assets

My question is that if we are making an asset with final url and keeps the tracking template empty then which tracking teplate does the asset will follow?

My basic thought goes as,

If asset is linked with the adgroup it follows the adroup tracking template and if linked with the campaign then follows the campaign asset. Right?

Can any one confirm this.....

• Could you kindly elaborate and provide more details on it so that we could provide precise guidance accordingly?
• Additionally, kindly note that the Google Ads API mirrors the Google Ads UI. Whatever data or feature shows on the Ads UI report, the API should pull or have it the same, so you may also refer to the process you may see with the Google Ads UI.
