Request youtube refresh token from manager account

Hello,

We are currently trying to setup a youtube refresh token for a youtube channel of which we only have a manager account with admin rights.
Sadly this does not seem to work currently. Are we correct in the assumption that currently only the owner of a youtube channel is able to request a refresh token?
Or is this something we can also somehow request as only a channel manager? In case that is possible what do we need to do to make it work from a manger account?

Since you are trying to set up a youtube refresh token for a youtube channel of which you only have a manager account with admin rights, then this does not appears to be Google Ads Ads API related. However, in Google Ads API, refresh token is generated by following this guide. As for the Youtube API, you may reach out to the Youtube Data API via this link.

We are using a URL like this: " https://oauth2.googleapis.com/token?code=#CODE#&client_id=#CLIENT_ID#&client_secret=#CLIENT_SECRET#&grant_type=authorization_code "

With the scope "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube" to generate a new token. 

Isn't this part of the Google Ads API? The way we are using it currently will ask us to select a google account in the typical google login form. But there we can only select our manager account but not the youtube channel if want to generate the token for. 

Is this really a question for the  Youtube Data API Support?

Our Google Ads API support team is unfortunately not familiar with generating refresh tokens using the said "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube" scope.

Our team also specializes only in managing Google Ads accounts (via the API) and not YouTube channels. You may also check our OAuth2 authentication / authorization guide for more information on our API support team's scope. In addition, you may also check this guide on what scope is used for the Google Ads API.

That being said, for YouTube platform specific questions, I would recommend that you reach out instead to the YouTube Data API support team, via this link, as their team should be better equipped in providing guidance, or in identifying the appropriate support team for the YouTube authorization concern.
