discrepancy between Adwords UI reports and Adwords API report

Hello! We are experiencing some data discrepancies between AWQL and UI reports we download from Adwords.
Time frame being first 5 calendar weeks of 2018.

Please see the attached picture and notice huge difference for impressions and also differences in clicks.
We are pulling an ad performance report and I have also cross checked for only enabled campaigns, ad groups and ads. Discrepancy is still huge.

Hi Ilden,

To further investigate this, can you provide to me your clientCustomerId and report definition via Reply privately to author option? Also, when you check and generate the Ad Performance Report in the AdWords UI, can you confirm if you have generated it using this view?

Hello,
I am also facing the same issues. The impressions, avg.CPC and avg. CPM values are getting multiplied by 1000000 while the ctr is coming accurate. Please guide me on this.

Hi Chirag,

All metrics (e.g. AverageCpcAverageCpm) in reports with Money type are represented in the API as micros. For example, in the UI, if its value is $8, then its API equivalent value is 8000000. You just need to divide the API value by 1000000 so that its value will be equal to the UI value. However, for the impressions, its API value will be exactly the same as the UI as this is not of type Money.

If you can confirm that there is indeed a discrepancy in the impressions metric in your report, then kindly provide your clientCustomerId as well as your report definition via Reply privately to author option.

Hi Vincent,

I am facing the same issue as Ilden above, but even worst. I extract with the API data for the same day in two different days and I get totally different numbers. Even some times some items that on the first extraction were delivered are missing on an extraction a week later. I am using the Shopping Performance Report. The differences are major. I can provide examples if required. And yes, on top the extracted data through the API does not match the data from the report.

How could I get information about what is happening?

Hi Zsombor,

Could you provide the complete report definition and clientCustomerId, and some screenshots or files that show the data discrepancies using the reply privately to author option so I could further investigate on this?

In the future, kindly open a new thread with your concern instead of opening your concern on old threads for better tracking.
