Using the API to report

Hi,

I am using the API to create an XML Criteria Performance Report. I have managed to run the report and download the XML file to my server.

I am now trying to run the report without having to download the XML file. So I am looking to loop through the XML nodes and insert them into my SQL database table. Is this possible in the API and if so has anyone got any examples?
