Hi,

Is there any way to suppress the Google Ads email notification that gets triggered during the process of linking a client account to my MCC account via the API?

I already have OAuth access for both the manager and client accounts, and I’d like to avoid sending or receiving any emails related to this linking process. I attempted to use the hidden flag in the CustomerClientLink resource, but it didn’t help in suppressing the email.

To clarify, I am performing the account linking programmatically using the API—not through the UI—and would like to prevent the system from sending the standard invitation or linking emails during this process.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The Google Ads API does not currently offer a way to suppress email notifications when using the CustomerClientLinkService or CustomerManagerLinkService. Email invitations are automatically triggered when linking accounts.

I would suggest you follow these procedures mentioned in this document to accept the invitations.

I hope this helps! Feel free to get back to us if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
