Is there a way to leverage our existing product catalog API to integrate pricing and inventory into ads?

Our goal is to use a product catalog for two things: dynamically integrating current product inventory and price into ad copy and to use inventory controls to only serve ads that have inventory.

In short, I would like to better understand is if there is a way for us to leverage our own catalog API as a data source to modify portions of ad copy for pricing and inventory. Could we set up a connection for Googles API to use our existing endpoints in a catalog API?

Right now we have a GET point for our inventory, and a POST point for updating Google Ads, but the middle-man that’s connecting those two is missing.

Also, if this isn't possible with Google Ads API and our API, do you know if there is another way for us to use an existing API with an ad customizer so we can in corporate accurate inventory data and dynamically manage ads based on inventory level? We briefly tested ad customizers and a business data feed but couldn't get the feed to update on a regular basis.

Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Let me do the best I can to assist you in this.

With regard to your concern on updating ad customizers or feed, I'm afraid that Google Ads API doesn't have any functionality to crawl/check a third-party platform to trigger an update on the said entities. As per your use case, we would suggest to build your own application logic that will connect your catalog API to Google Ads API by utilizing our Client Libraries.
