List Accessible Customers API returning 429

Hello,

We have an app that makes a GET makes https://googleads.googleapis.com/v11/customers:listAccessibleCustomers 

to get a list of client customer ids first and use the first customer id to fetch additional Google Ads data to process.

For about 8 hours (10am - 6pm EST) on 10/05/2022, we observed 429 returned on the list customer request, while other ads data requests are not hitting rate limits according to https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/best-practices/quotas. After 6pm, the issue seems to have resolved themselves. 

Could you help us troubleshoot and understand why we saw 429 during that time?

With regard to your concern, could you please tell us if this happens everyday? Could you please tell us the exact error message that you get? For us to check it further, please provide us the complete request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end? You can provide it via Reply privately to the author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com. If you haven't enabled the logging yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.
