How to use the API to transmit information about conversions without Adwords conversion tag ?

If I am in a situation where I can't transfer the conversion info from a site using an advords conversion tag. Are there any ways to transfer tracking info into google account or write it in file? May be by Adwords API, maybe throught postback tag or macros?
So if someone did something like this before I would really appreciate it !
