Querying for Specific AdTextAsset Fields

Hi,

I've found that some Responsive Search Ads have a lot of data in each AdTextAsset - so much so that it can cause some errors when response message sizes get too large. Unfortunately, it appears that we can only query for the entire AdTextAsset when Selecing the Headlines or Descriptions.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get less data from each AdTextAsset to reduce errors and perhaps improve performance (due to smaller messages)?

I actually have updated the code to address the issue by increasing the maximum response size:

Grpc.Core.Internal.CoreErrorDetailException: {"created":"@1621236204.189000000","description":"Received message larger than max (423184132 vs. 67108864)" · Issue #285 · googleads/google-ads-dotnet (github.com)

Because of this, I don't have any recent logs to share regarding the max size.

However, I think it would be much preferable to get less data overall, since some fields are not needed.

Hi Kevin,

Glad to know that you were able to find a workaround on the issue and thank you for your feedback.

That said, so that I may create a feature request on the "get less data overall, since some fields are not needed" that you mentioned, could you confirm if what you are looking for is to reduce the response in general, or if you are looking for an option to somehow only filter the fields/data you wish to be included in the response?
