GCLID Converison mapping

Hi,

I have GCLID data with me. But how I can map conversions against GCLID?

I was checking GCLID with conversions in our database forms. 

But It was not matched.

How I can map GCLID?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. You can get the GCLIDs that were generated in your account for a certain day using the Click Performance Report (or Click View Report in Google Ads API) however there is unfortunately no way to see which conversion action these GCLIDs belong to. I have created a feature request for this on your behalf so please keep an eye on our Developer Blog for information on future releases.

Hi Mitchell,

Thanks for the response.

I want to say I have forms setup on my website and I have GCLID associate with that Form now I want to check GCLID I have with click performance report GCLID.

But unfortunately I am not able to see correct day when the converison receive and those details in GCLID.

So, Does GCLID is not provide correct time when conversion done?

I need to check both GCLID.

Hi,

As explained here, the GCLIDs will show in Google Ads (and the Click Performance Report) on the impression date of the original click. Not the date of the conversion or the upload. Please make sure you take this into account when comparing the report data to your own.

So If I need to map conversion to GCLID or need to check which search term is associated with I need to check for impression date? Or Conversion date recorded in my CRM?

In Google Ads which conversion date should be consider? Is it impression date or actual conversion received date?

Hi,

You can get the search term associated with a GCLID using the Click Performance Report and querying the CriteriaParameters. To get the conversion action (from your CRM), you would have to do what you said and get the Click Performance Report from AdWords on the impression date and map the GCLID to your CRM on the conversion date.

The conversion in Google Ads will be reflected on the impression date. You can find additional information on this here.
