API Support for Enabling Lead Form Setting at Campaign Level

Hi Team, 

I’m currently developing a script to programmatically create and attach Lead Forms to the campaigns I want. While the Google Ads API provides most of the functionality I require, I haven’t been able to identify any API method or field that allows me to enable the Lead Form extension setting found under each individual Campaign's settings — specifically, the option that controls whether the lead form is always shown when someone interacts with the ad.

At this point, I’m manually enabling this setting for each campaign after attaching the lead form. Before proceeding further, I wanted to confirm if there's an API-supported way to configure this setting, or if this functionality is currently only available via the UI.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please be informed that enabling the lead form extension setting at the campaign level is not supported as per the documentation of the Google Ads API. I would like to inform you that you can create lead form asset extensions and associate them with your campaigns by referring to this guide Assets.

Kindly note that I will raise a request for this feature to become available in the Google Ads API. However, I cannot provide a scheduled timeline for its availability in the API. So, I would recommend you follow our Blog Post and Release Notes for future updates.
