Hi Everyone,

We recently applied for Standard Access to the Google Ads API but received the following feedback:

“As your tool is external full-service, your tool must provide an option to create and manage campaigns functionality. However, we are unable to find it in order to replicate creation/management functionality in your tool. Could you please help us by providing annotated screenshots/video detailing where each RMF feature is found and if any RMF are not yet implemented.”

The challenge is that our tool is not a full-service tool. It is specifically designed for [specific purpose, e.g., click monitoring, fetching names co-related to id's] and focuses on:
  • Adding a tracking template at the account level.
  • Gathering basic data like campaign names, ad group names, and core metrics (e.g., CPC and clicks).
We do not facilitate campaign creation or management as this is outside the scope of our tool’s purpose.

As part of our RMF submission, we have provided detailed videos and screendumps showcasing all the API requests our tool uses and where they are implemented. This was also explicitly mentioned in the RMF.

Our main reason for applying for Standard Access is that our tool is reaching its API limits due to the growing number of customers we serve. We want to ensure we can continue providing a seamless experience for our users while adhering to Google’s compliance requirements.

Has anyone else faced a similar situation where their tool didn’t support campaign creation or management? How did you address this requirement, and were there specific changes you had to implement?

Any advice, suggestions, or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that the concerns related to access requests are out of scope for the Google Ads API support team as our team specializes in Google Ads API related concerns and technical implementations only. I would recommend you to reach out to the Google Ads API Compliance team as they are better equipped to address your concern.
