Track the API calls made

Hi Team,

I want to track the API calls made to Google. Which API is being called and what is its frequency and all. Is there any dashboard for the same?

Hi Piyush,

You can track mutates with change_event. There is no known way to track gets and reports for either API. Can you send us a screenshot of tracking API access in the UI?

By tracking API, what I mean is I want to know how many GET/POST calls my system is making to ads API on daily basis and what is the endpoint of those calls.

Are you concerned about hitting daily rate limits and quotas? Are you trying to quantify traffic from your customers? We recommend building your own solution or employing one of many available commercial tools that can use your logs to produce interactive dashboards and send automated alerts. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging".

You will most probably have to make your own system anyways. Can you state in business terms the value of a better solution or solutions?

That's probably the best you can get currently without monitoring the calls on your side.

Hi Piyush,

I agree with what Mat said on how to monitor Google Ads API usage. You may use the Google Cloud Console's API Dashboard to view your API metrics of all your API usage, or you can drill down to your usage of a specific API.
