Hi,

I am using google ads api for updating bidding strategies. If the bidding strategy is already maximize conversions, I can change it to manual cpc, target cpa or target impression share using the Google Ads api but the vice versa is not happening.

Can anybody help me out here on how to proceed with this?

Hi Ankit,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Moving forward, For our team to further investigate the issue you are encountering, could you elaborate more on the vice versa you are talking about so our team can check and provide appropriate recommendations? Also, could you confirm if you encountered any errors in the API? If yes, could you provide the complete API logs (request and response with request-id ) generated on your end so that we can further check it?

You may then send the requested logs via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for replying. If the bidding strategy is already maximize conversions, I can change it to manual cpc, target cpa or target impression share using the Google Ads api and if the bidding strategy is manual cpc, target cpa or target impressions share, I cannot change it to maximize conversions using the api.

Below is the code snippet that I am using to change it to maximize conversions from manual cpc, target cpa or target impressions share

MaximizeConversions.Builder maximizeConversionsBuilder = MaximizeConversions.newBuilder();
newCampaign.setMaximizeConversions(maximizeConversionsBuilder.build());

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com. These logs are needed for us to investigate and to provide appropriate actions or resolution to solve the issue.

Hi Ankit,

Thank you for that information.

To help, you need to provide the complete  request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end, note that this can be requested or provided to the developer handling the Google Ads API transactions when logging of the API requests has been enabled.

This is the specific guideline for Java to enable it.

Java - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/java/logging

You may then send the requested logs via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
