Hello,

we had multiple BatchJobs with operations to update ListingGroups from shopping campaigns be aborted by Google without any operation getting processed.

All operations in these BatchJobs returned with the following status:

status {
  code: 10
  message: "The MutateJob was aborted. There are no further results to return."
  details {
    type_url: "type.googleapis.com/google.ads.googleads.v17.errors.GoogleAdsFailure"
    value: "\\n\\004\\n\\002P\\002"
  }
}

The ID of a BatchJob that had this problem: 24438865616

Since then, we have been able to fix the issue by sending the repeatedly aborted operations within MutateRequests. But we would like to know what caused this, since our automated solution uses BatchJobs and we want to avoid seeing this issue again in the future.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Could you please provide us with the complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end. This would help us understand the issue and assist you accordingly.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java.NetPHPPythonRuby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.

Hello,

as I mentioned in the question message, we fixed the existing issues manually by sending the operations via MutateRequest.
We don't have any occurrences of the issue currently. If the situation comes back, I'll make sure to gather the data and provide it here.
