How to get keyword of "AutomaticContent"

Hello,

I'm using Adwords API for get keyword, this's my step

1. KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT: https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report
- Selector: "Id", "Criteria"
- Data return in column "Criteria" content value: "AutomaticContent" or "Content", etc...
- "AutomaticContent" with KeywordId = 3000006 and "Content" with KeywordId = 3000000
2. DISPLAY_KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT: https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/display-keyword-performance-report
- Selector: "Id", "Criteria.
- Data return in column "Criteria" just show keyword for KeywordId = 3000000, not for KeywordId = 3000006.

I want to get exactly keyword for KeywordId = 3000006.

Can you give me a hand?

Hi Thao,

The IDs of the form 300000X are for Display Network impressions, as explained in the sections starting here:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#keywordid3000000

If you are interested in the keyword criteria that triggered impressions on the Display Network, I'd recommend the DISPLAY_KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT instead.

- many thank for your answer but with DISPLAY_KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT you can't get exact keyword of KeywordId = 3000006.
- in Adwords 's manager screen select campaign_type = "Display Campaigns", select "Ads" -> "Segment" -> "KeyWord/Placement" its show you value "AutomaticContent".

Hi,

The rows for 3000006 are for the Display Campaign Optimizer, so it's possible that those impressions are based on automatic placement targeting. Could you share the following so I can take a look at your campaign?

• Campaign ID
• AdGroup ID
• Date range of the report

Thanks for sharing those IDs. I took a look, and unfortunately I couldn't find a way to tie specific placements or keywords to the rows with keyword ID 30000006.

Stepping back a bit, could you share what you are trying to achieve with this report? For example, are you trying to identify keywords you aren't currently targeting explicitly, but are being targeted by the Display Campaign Optimizer?

any updates here on how to get keywords if keyword id is 3000006? We have the same Problem here and want to present a customer a keyword performance report with used keywords.

Hi Hans-Christian,

For keywords, you may want to try using the SEARCH_QUERY_PERFORMANCE_REPORT to see if that provides the search terms that triggered your ads. I don't have an example campaign and date range where I can try this out, but could you try it with your campaign and post back here if it proves helpful?

If you're also interested in placements, I recommend using the AUTOMATIC_PLACEMENTS_REPORT.
