Hi there,

I have an interesting problem and wondered if anyone can help me out.

In one of my campaigns that's managed entirely by a script through the API I keep getting the Keyword limit Error (on 10.000 Keywords) when the script is trying to make new Keywords. Now, I have 5000 Keywords that are useless and could make space for new ones to kick in. The problem is, those Keywords are Enabled and they belong to Removed AdGroups meaning that I can't touch them, at least no from the Online Dashboard (and niether in the Editor).

My questions are:

1. How can I get rid of the 5000 keywords sitting there? Is there a way to do it with the API?
2. How come I keep getting the keyword limit error when I reach 10.000 Keywords when my limit is 1.000.000 Keywords (Confirmed ny Google)

Thanks in advance!

Peter

Hi Peter,

Removed items do not count towards your account limits. An account can have up to 5 million ad group targeting items (such as keywords, placements, and audience lists) and up to 1 million campaign targeting items per account (such as geo target and campaign-level negative keywords). Could you provide more details about the exact error you encounter? If you happen to have the SOAP request and response logs for these failing requests, it'll be helpful in troubleshooting the issue as well. Please use Reply privately to author when responding.
