Hello,

Thank you for your response.
I reply to this issue(https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/jG6wcM06Vxw) via email because my company blocks the attachments.
I attached files for your further investigation. response file includes request-id.

Attached file description:
  • Campaign REQUEST/RESPONSE (pmax_campaign_hourly_request.json / pmax_campaign_hourly_response.json)
  • ASSET GROUP REQUEST/RESPONSE (pmax_asset_group_daily_request.json / pmax_asset_group_daily_response.json)
  • SHOPPING PRODUCT REQUEST/RESPONSE (pmax_shopping_performance_view_daily_request.json / pmax_shopping_performance_view_daily_response.json)

for your simple investigation, you can check just sum of clicks.
  sum(campaign metrics.clicks) != sum(asset_group metrics.clicks) + sum(shopping_performance_view metrics.clicks)
  sum(campaign metrics.clicks) = sum(asset_group metrics.clicks) = 115

Both asset_group & shopping_performance_view has a campaign id which is SAME CAMPAIGN(ID: 17784335944) in this case.
So, I think the campaign performance should sum both asset_group & shopping_performance_view which is not.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Boseong Kim.

Hi Boseong,

Thank you for providing the additional information.

Note that the sum of clicks on a campaign need not be equal to the sum of clicks on an asset group and the sum of clicks from a shopping performance view report.

The campaign and shopping_performance_view are two different reports with different data. I would recommend you to check these guides on campaign and shopping_performance_view for more information.

Also, the sum of clicks on a campaign is equal to the sum of clicks on an asset group because, regardless of which asset combination from an asset group contributed to a click, the click ultimately belongs to the PMax campaign itself. I would recommend you refer to this Help Center article on asset group reporting in PMax campaigns for more information.

I hope this clarifies.
