How to add Audience to a Search Campaign

Hello, 

I have a couple of questions regarding adding an audience to a search campaign. 

Firstly, when I attempt to add an audience to a campaign using PHP, how can I do so? I have used the following code:

$audienceSetting = new AudienceSetting(['use_audience_grouped' => true]);
$adGroup1 = new AdGroup([
    'name' => $request->adgroup['name'],
    'campaign' => $newCampaignID,
    'status' => AdGroupStatus::ENABLED,
    'type' => AdGroupType::SEARCH_STANDARD,
    'cpc_bid_micros' => $request->campaign['budget']['google'] * 100000,
    'audience_setting' => $audienceSetting
]);

However, it is showing an error message: "Expect Google\Ads\GoogleAds\V13\Resources\AdGroup\AudienceSetting." 

Is this the correct way to add an audience? 

My second question is: if I choose the audience setting, will other targeting options still work? Should I make changes based on the audience setting/targeting, or can both work together in a campaign? Thank you.

I understand that you want to add an audience to a search campaign. An Audience is a reusable collection of focused segments, demographic targeting, and exclusions. Please note that audience targeting is supported for Performance Max and Discovery campaigns. You may refer to this documentation guide (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/remarketing/audiences) for more information. In parallel to this, our team has already raised a feature request to use detailed demographics or other audience segments in Display or Search campaigns and is subject for review. With this, I would recommend keeping an eye on our release notes and blog for new features and releases. 

On the other hand, if the above mentioned is not what you are referring to, kindly provide us the complete logs (request and response logs with request ID) generated on your end for your specific use case. This is so we could further check and provide appropriate guidance.

You may then send the requested information privately via the Reply to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Hi,

Kindly note that the "Display or Search campaigns to use detailed demographics or other audience segments" is not yet implemented in the Google Ads API. We cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the Google Ads API. I would recommend you please follow our Release Notes and Blog Post for future updates.
