How to get the search volumes broken down by region?

Hey,

I'm trying to recreate this plot that you can view in the Keyword Planner in the UI:


I thought it was via KeywordPlanIdeaService.GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics but does not return a breakdown by region, nor do I find a argument to get the breakdown by region.

Does anyone have any idea how to recreate this plot using the google ads api?

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You are correct that KeywordPlanIdeaService.GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics does not return a regional breakdown. While the Google Ads UI’s Keyword Planner offers a regional breakdown of search volume, there’s currently no regional breakdown available via the Google Ads API. So, it is not possible to recreate the plot via the Google Ads API.
