Hello! Our system stores the gclid, gbraid and wbraid of visitors in our database. We noticed that different gclids have the same gbraid, as shown in the image below. With that in mind, we want to know if we can upload conversion to any gbraid when we don't have a user's click data?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the provided screenshot, visitor ID '54.238' has identical GCLID and GBRAID values. Please verify if the GCLID and GBRAID data in the report is correct, as these identifiers should be unique. Also, kindly note that you must only set one of these fields(gclid, gbraid, wbraid) identifier you captured at the time of the click for the conversion's click or impression. I would recommend you to check this documentation Set the required fields of each conversion operation and help center article Set up offline conversion imports using Google Click ID (GCLID) for more information.

What I meant is that visitors with IDs 54,238 and 54,120 have different gclids and the same gbraid. From what I can understand, gbraid is a type of code that identifies a certain group of certain types of people based on their interests.

So my question is, if a conversion occurs in my system without any of the three click data (gclid, grbaid and wbraid) can I upload a conversion with the gbraid randomly selected from my database?

Hi,

Based on your query, if you don't have the GCLID, GBRAID, or WBRAID for a conversion, you cannot upload conversions using a random GBRAID from your database without any click data. The correct process requires you to capture and store the GCLID when a user clicks on your ad, as this is necessary to track offline conversions. The GCLID (Google Click Identifier) is used to tie the conversion to a specific ad click, and it's required for importing conversions into Google Ads.

If you're unable to capture the GCLID, you might want to explore alternative conversion tracking setups, such as Enhanced Conversions for Leads. This option doesn't require the GCLID.
